Married 107 Times and Counting
Written by Pat's Papers | Thursday, 12 May 2011 7:24 AM

Bello Maasaba has found Mrs. Right…107 times. Even in his homeland of Nigeria, where polygamy is accepted, that’s on the high side says the LA Times. And it’s made Islamic leaders more than a little unhappy with the 87-year-old Maasaba. Currently, he has 86 wives—the youngest is 19; the oldest, 64—because he’s divorced 12 (for disobedience) and nine have died. He has had at least 185 children and estimates his extended family at somewhere around 5000. What the Times reporter really wants to know, any finally gets around to asking is something I was curious about too: “how does he meet their romantic needs?”
