London Police Pull Plug on Springsteen, McCartney

The rules is the rules, folks—even if you’re Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney. London police pulled the plug—literally—on an outdoor concert by the two superstars over the weekend after they broke a sound curfew, a move the Daily Mail calls the “ultimate killjoy act.”  Reporter James Slack was in the 80,000-person audience when it happened. He says everyone’s first thought was ‘technology glitch.’  It then became clear that nope, it was ” tedious, mind-numbingly dumb British officialdom.”
