Kings of Leon ‘Pigeongate’ Blamed on One Bird
Written by Pat's Papers | Tuesday, 27 July 2010 9:36 AM

I guess Kings of Leon should be happy it’s not a widespread sentiment in the pigeon community. According to Verizon, it was one rogue bird that caused “pigeongate.” The band abruptly stopped their show in St. Louis last Friday after complaining that they were being showered with guano says the Post-Dispatch. The band’s bassist claims the last straw was when some of the pigeon poop got into his mouth. Verizon, who owns the St. Louis venue, says it does not have a long-standing pigeon problem like several musicians have claimed. Instead, the company chose to blame a lone pigeon for causing all the havoc.

At 1:12 you can see the drummer wipe something off his face and turn to complain. At the end of the song, the lead singer also wipes something off his face and immediately exits the stage.
