Jobs Available But Unemployed Have Wrong Skills

Fresno, California typifies the country’s new economic troubles says the Washington Post. There are tons of available jobs. But unfortunately, they’re in entirely different industries than the ones where the unemployed have experience. In Fresco, unemployment is about 16.9 percent. But a local medical center says they have about 6000 openings that they can’t fill. Economists say the trend will likely continue as certain industries (construction) continue to contract while others (health care) continue to expand.
