Jailbreaking iPhones Now Legal

About 4 million iPhones and other Apple devices have been altered to run on systems other than AT&T’s network; the LA Times says T Mobile has authorized so many iPhones it now offers technical support for them. But now, it’s actually legal to jailbreak your iPhone. The Library of Congress just revised a 1998 ruling that prohibited customers from tampering with any technical locks put on their phones. But remember that even though it’s now legal, jailbreaking still carries the risk that you’ll void your warranty.
