Everybody knows someone who loves to brag about not owning a TV. Well, the New York Times says that person is slowly being replaced by another type of braggart - the one who watches a lot of TV programs without an expensive subscription to cable. The Times says you can find most shows online, but points out notable exceptions like live sports and HBO programs. Disclosure on this story: My employer NY1 News is owned by Time Warner Cable. NY1 is marketed as a “cable exclusive” network.
