“Ham on the Lam”
Written by Pat's Papers | Thursday, 14 April 2011 10:33 AM

There’s a “ham on the lam” says the Philadelphia Daily News this morning. According to his owners, Steve, a six-pound pot-bellied pig, was confiscated by city officials when he went for a walk. But now officials, who say the owner’s property isn’t zoned for housing livestock, are holding Steve at an “undisclosed location” and refuse to turn him over. His owner says Steve is a domesticated pet but “he doesn’t really have a neck, so he never had tags.”
Concerned that Steve may end up on someone’s dining room table, he’s launched a “Where’s Steve?” Facebook page. Warning: there are some extremely cute photos on the Facebook page.
