“Grunt-o-Meter” Coming to Tennis

As Wimbledon gets underway, tennis is developing a “grunt-o-meter” as the first step in enforcing a plea for female players to keep their grunts and shrieks to a minimum. USA Today says the plan has several elements, including the “development of a handheld device — a kind of Hawk-Eye for noise — for umpires to objectively measure on-court grunting levels.”
