First Apple Up For Auction

This is the reason I insist that my parents keep my old Apple II+ computer in their basement forever. One of the original, garage-made Apple computers is up for auction in London. And it’s expected to fetch around $240,000 says the New York Post. Called Apple-1, the model was the first to come with a fully assembled motherboard. No matter that it was missing a monitor, a power supply or a keyboard. Another piece of trivia: Apple-1 features the company’s original label, which was a picture of “[Sir Isaac] Newton sitting underneath the apple tree.”
