Family Told Daughter is Alive After Planning Her Funeral
Written by Pat's Papers | Monday, 26 July 2010 8:12 AM

A tragic mix up has left the families of two young women reeling says the Arizona Republic. After a deadly car accident last week, Phoenix police told the family of Abby Guerra that the 19-year-old had died in the crash. But now authorities say Guerra isn’t dead at all and that in fact, it was her friend, 21-year-old Marlena Cantu, who died in the crash. They say they misidentified the two women because Guerra’s face was severely bruised. Guerra’s family, who’ve been planning her funeral all week, are now gathered at a local hospital where she’s listed in critical condition.
