Facebook is Everywhere But Does Anyone Still Care?

Written by Pat's Papers | Friday, 23 July 2010 5:52 AM

Every since Facebook hit 500 million users—before, actually—people can’t stop writing about it. In general, I’m a little sick of these stories but the Washington Post managed to hold my interest this morning with a piece styled in the manner of the ubiquitous updates the site is known for. The humorous observations ( “It has rendered obsolete from the English language the phrase, ‘I wonder whatever happened to . . . ’” ; “It is a fact that the people who lead the least interesting lives will post the most updates on them.”) lead to the conclusion that despite its rock-star status, Facebook will soon be as ignorable as a ringing telephone.
