Does this TV Make My Living Room Look Fat?

Maybe you bought a big new TV for the Super Bowl. New York Times tech writer Sam Grobart says you wouldn’t be the only one—“televisions,” he says, “are getting huge.” Eighty inches seems pretty standard but that’s six feet eight inches—same size as Carmelo Anthony. “If Carmelo Anthony moved into your living room, you would notice.” So how far away should you sit? For a 60-inch screen you want to be 7-and-a-half feet away.
