Destroy the Dress
Written by Pat's Papers | Wednesday, 11 May 2011 9:57 AM

Instead of steam cleaning, some brides are opting for a decidedly different way to deal with their wedding dresses after the big day is over says the Philadelphia Inquirer: trashing them. Those who opt to destroy their dresses—11 percent do, according to a recent survey—say it offers them some catharsis, and fodder for a really good photo shoot. Other say it’s a way to show their intention to only get married once. Explains an editor at wedding website, theKnot.com: “If you’ve been a ‘Bridezilla’ or were really stressed out during the wedding, it’s a great way to let go and show you are not taking yourself so seriously.”
