Dearborn Mayor: Too Much Sex, Booze, Pork for Islamic Law

“If Dearborn practiced Shari’a law, would we have three adult entertainment bars and more alcohol-licensed bars and restaurants per capita than most other cities?” Those are the words of Dearborn’s mayor Jack O’Reilly in response to a Florida pastor’s claim that the Michigan city was ruled by Islamic law reports the Detroit Free-Press. O’Reilly released his public letter yesterday in hopes of dissuading Pastor Terry Jones—the guy who led his congregation in a Quran burning earlier this year—from holding a protest outside of Dearborn’s Islamic Center of America this Friday.

Inspired by Jones plan to boycott Shari’a Law, two Dearborn comedians came up with a funny spoof, entitled Shawarma Law:
