DC Gives Charlie Sheen a Police Escort
Written by Pats Papers | Friday, 22 April 2011 6:00 AM
Charlie Sheen was late for his “Violent Torpedo of Truth” show in DC Tuesday night. And to help him get into Washington from Dulles airport he got a police escort. The Washington Post asks the question today: Who authorized the DC police escort? DC Council member Phil Mendelson told the Post: “Citizens of the District don’t want to see their police force used to escort private citizens and that Charlie Sheen, of all people, is getting a personal escort,” The DC police chief is said to have been “caught off guard” by the news. Sheen did nothing to hide it. In fact, he boasted about it on Twitter, writing:
In car with Police escort in front and rear! driving like someone’s about to deliver a baby! Cop car lights #Spinning!
The photo above was posted to the sharing service yfrog.com by Sheen on Tuesday, but appears to have been later deleted.
