Cop’s Family Witness His Death From Back of Patrol Car

A Florida woman experienced a parent’s worst nightmare yesterday says the St. Petersburg Times. While visiting her son in Alaska where he works as a police officer, Debbie Greene—along with her son’s wife and two of the couple’s children—witnessed a gunman shoot him to death in an ambush. Greene, who was in town to see her son receive a promotion, was in the back of the patrol car with the rest of the family when the attack occurred. According to police, Greene’s son had previously arrested the man who fatally shot him.
