Congress Makes Progress on Fiscal Cliff

The Wall Street Journal says, gasp, there has been some progress in Congress in regards to the fiscal cliff. President Obama inched away from his plan to increase taxes for households making more than $250,000, instead proposing to let the Bush tax cuts expire for those making $400,000 or more. The compromise has brought the two sides closer—close enough that some analysts say a deal could be struck by the end of the year.
