Comedy Portioned Out at JerrySeinfeld.com

Jerry Seinfeld believes in portion control. That’s why his new website, which debuts tomorrow, will only offer three video clips from Seinfeld’s long and storied stand-up career a day. As he explains to the New York Times: “Burger King now has a burger where you decide how many patties. How disgusting is that? That’s the problem right there. That’s the cultural moment that I am repudiating here.”

JerrySeinfeld.com grew out of a desire to curate the comic’s vast archives for fans who don’t want to search through the “‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ catacombs of YouTube” for his clips. The rotating menu includes more than 1000 videos, including his first TV appearance (on Johnnie Carson in 1981) and his first Celebrity Cabaret appearance back 1977, which features Seinfeld “wearing glasses and wide lapels and speaking with a distinct Noo Yawk accent.”

JerrySeinfeld.com goes live at 9:00 EST on May 6

Here’s an appetizer, while you wait for the site to go live:
