Collecting Smiths

The Wall Street Journal profiles a guy who collects business cards from anybody with the name Smith. Well not just anybody. The part-time security guard—whose last name is not Smith, by the way—says he’s after successful and influential Smiths. After a print media-only search, (he feels like Googling would be cheating) he sends out a handwritten note requesting a business card. So far, 379 Smiths have responded.
