Cat in the App

Written by Pat's Papers | Tuesday, 6 July 2010 10:29 AM

For cats, the sound of a can opener is much more interesting than a human. That was the inspiration behind an Indiana college professor’s recent invention - an iPhone app that helps you coax your cat out of its hiding spots. Called “Here Kitty, Kitty,” the Gary Post-Tribune says cat owners can choose between the sound of a can opener, birds chirping or a dog barking.  And even though, it’s already available on iTunes, the inventor says he’s only seen a middling degree of success in his trials: “The cats were interested, but they wouldn’t necessarily come.”
