Boy Scouts Release Decades of ‘Perversion Files’

Written by Pat's Papers | Friday, 19 October 2012 8:59 AM

Yesterday, the Boy Scouts of America turned over 14,500 pages of confidential “perversion files” after being ordered to do so by a Portland judge, reports the Oregonian. The files, which date back to the 1920s, detail people the organization has suspected of child molestation. Thursday’s disclosure (The Oregonian has made the archive available here.) includes only about one-fourth of the total files, and focuses on men who were thrown out of the organization between 1965 and 1985.
