Billions in Hidden Riches for Family of Chinese PM

There’s a major investigation on the front page of the New York Times this morning. So major the Chinese government has blocked access to the story on the Internet inside the country. The Times details the billions in wealth—at least $2.7 billion—collected by the family of China’s prime minister Wen Jiabao. In many cases, says the paper, “the names of the relatives have been hidden behind layers of partnerships and investment vehicles involving friends, work colleagues and business partners.”
