“Bigot” Interview Gets Rick Sanchez Fired from CNN

It was a “gasp-inducing” interview, reports Lisa de Moraes in the Washington Post. And it got Rick Sanchez fired from his anchor job at CNN. In a Thursday interview on Pete Dominick’s satellite radio program, Sanchez struck back at Jon Stewart, who has frequently ridiculed Sanchez’s on-air work at CNN. Sanchez called Stewart a “bigot” and implied that Jewish media executives “are a lot like Stewart.”
As of this check at 10 am ET on Saturday, Sanchez’s normally active Twitter stream had been silent since the firing.
