Kids Menu, Grown-Up Calorie Counts

Friendly’s was the worst offender in a recent analysis of the food offered up on kid’s menus says the New York Post. Something called a mac’n'cheese quesadilla comes with a helping of 2,270 calories - more calories than an adult needs in a whole day. As a rule of thumb, it seems like one should avoid dishes that combine multiple types of junk food into one dish. I mean really, what good can come from anyone eating a hot dog pizza or a brownie burger?

Other fast food chains didn’t fair much better in the analysis, which was compiled by the Daily Beast. The list is pretty shocking. And for those of us who think we’re doing the right thing by ordering a salad, the Daily Beast has some shock therapy for that condition too - just take a scroll through their “Deadly Salads” montage.
