As ‘Guest in Chief’ Obama Not So Funny

Written by Pat's Papers | Thursday, 28 October 2010 6:55 AM

President Obama sat down with Jon Stewart last night as a guest on “The Daily Show.” This is how the Washington Post describes it: “Two men, brimming with mutual regard, each of them funny in his own way, but managing to not be very funny together for the show’s entire 22 minutes.” But the president wasn’t the only one to fall flat—the Post says all the show’s guests during its Washington DC week have managed to be kind of boring.

The New York Post says Stewart spent most of the interview gently poking at the president for his administration’s laundry list of unfinished business. He asked Obama whether his slogan should have been, “Yes, we can—but . . .”
