App Industry Hits $25B

The apps industry is exploding, says the Wall Street Journal this morning. There are more than 700,000 apps for sale in Apple’s marketplace, and it’s believed that people spend around two hours a day plugged into at least one app.  Expected to hit $25 billion in global revenue this year, one analyst likens the industry to “cars at the turn of the last century.”
