Amanda Bynes Retires at Age 24

24 seems a little young to be retiring from anything. But that’s what actress Amanda Bynes announced she was doing yesterday, via Twitter. The 24-year-old told her Twitter followers: “Being an actress isn’t as fun as it may seem. If I don’t love something anymore, I stop doing it. I don’t love acting anymore, so I’ve stopped doing it.”  The LA Times questions Bynes’ sincerity and wonders if this isn’t just a move from the playbook shared by Jay-Z and Joaquin Phoenix: “Even in show business, where people issue press releases for everything from weddings to death denials—people rarely confirm retirements. That is, they rarely confirm real retirements.”
