AI Gives 20Q its Magic

My kids have this electronic 20 Questions game and I’ve got to admit its ability to guess what you’re thinking is pretty amazing. The Washington Post explains the concept of artificial intelligence, which is used to power the game, in today’s Kids Post. By using previous experiences when forming its answers, the game is able to think like a human. For example, when a player mistakenly calls a dolphin a fish instead of a mammal, the game will remember the gaffe and still keep dolphin on the table as a possible answer.

You can play 20Q online as well, though fair warning: it is a very easy way to lose an hour.
