15 Years Later, Oklahoma City Still Provides Lessons

Bill Clinton chose the 15th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing to remind Americans that violence is not an acceptable way to show displeasure with our government. In a New York Times opinion piece, the former president writes: “There is a big difference between criticizing a policy or a politician and demonizing the government that guarantees our freedoms and the public servants who enforce our laws.”

Oklahoman columnist Brian Painter looks back to the 1995 bombing through the story of one woman, whose sister was one of the 168 people killed that day.
