Written by Pat's Papers | Friday, 20 July 2012 8:07 AM

A tragedy in Colorado this morning. Initial reports said 14 people were killed and more than 50 were injured when a man opened fire at a midnight screening of the latest Batman film, “The Dark Night Rises,” though now officials say the death toll is likely 12. Witnesses told the Denver Post the suspect was clad in black and wearing a mask. He allegedly threw a canister into the crowd of moviegoers, which released some sort of gas, before opening fire. Police have a suspect—a 24-year-old man—in custody and are searching a nearby apartment for explosives. This is breaking—continue to check the Denver Post for updates.
