Citing this as the time of year when even the most causal golfer should have played at least 9 holes, New York Times golf writer Bill Pennington offers 12 reasons to love the game. He says the accessibility of the game to all and the views are among the factors that make golf great. As is the ever-present chance of getting a hole in one. He asks: “In what other game, in what other walk of life, can you perform something that in that moment is as good as it can be?”
