US Government May Make “Serving Size” More Realistic
As the headline “One Bowl = 2 Servings” in the New York Times points out, sometimes when you consult the nutrition facts on packaged foods you learn that the “serving size” is absurdly small. The Times says the Food and Drug Administration wants to make those sizes more consistent with what Americans typically consume as a single serving.
Toyota Owners Already See Lower Resale Value
Toyota cars aren’t worth as much. Not surprising really, to see the Detroit Free Press story that owners of recalled Toyota models have already seen resale prices slip by about 3 percent this week.
Toy Millionaire Buys Madoff Penthouse
The buyer of the Manhattan apartment seized in the Bernie Madoff fraud case is the man who made millions from “Cabbage Patch Kids.” The New York Post reports 4Kids Entertainment CEO Al Kahn is in contract to buy the apartment at just under its $8.9 million asking price.
