The Paul Ryan Time Calculator

Written by Pat's Papers | Tuesday, 18 September 2012 8:10 AM

Want a way to improve your marathon time without putting in more workouts? A new website called Paul Ryan Time Calculator lets you do just that. You enter your actual time for a list of different events and the app calculates a “Paul Ryan-adjusted time.”

The premise for the site goes back to an interview Ryan gave, in which he claimed to have run a ran a sub-three hour marathon. Runner’s World was quick to point out that Ryan’s real time of 4:01:25.

For example, I told the site, I ran an 8-minute mile. Not that impressive, until you enter Paul Ryan’s universe, where an 8-minute mile is actually a 5:48-mile—only 2 minutes away from the world record. Facts schmacts, it’s definitely a fun way to waste a few minutes at work.
