The Indestructable Burger

Didn’t get a chance to finish your Happy Meal? Don’t worry, it’ll keep—indefinitely. To win a bet with her friend, artist Sally Davies photographed the same burger and fries from McDonalds every day for six months. Disturbingly, she discovered her subject didn’t change one bit over the course of the project. That’s not entirely true. Davies told the Daily Mail, the food got rock hard after a few days. But as far as physical appearance, nada.

Davies wasn’t the first to experiment with the decomposition rates of fast food. A wellness teacher named Karen Hanrahan has kept a McDonalds hamburger since 1996 to scare her students off fast food. It also remains unchanged:
