Play Trivia with Pat at the Bell House
Written by Pat's Papers | Friday, 20 January 2012 6:35 AM
UPDATE: After selling out, we’ve added a second show on February 27th.
I’m getting ready to host another TrivWorks event at the Bell House, this time in celebration of my adopted city. “We Love NYC: A Pop Culture Trivia Night Celebrating the World’s Greatest City” will take place next week, on Wednesday, January 25th, starting at 7:30. This week I sat down for a couple of interviews to talk about why it is I love New York so much, among other topics.
First up was Kate Hooker, who lost out in the quarterfinals last time TrivWorks came to the Bell House. She writes for the blog BrooklynBased, so we talked about my new found love for Williamsburg, especially the Meatball Shop and The Gutter. She also pumped me for some trivia strategy (If you read the New York Post, Gothamist, watch NY1 and enjoy pop culture, you’ll do well) and asked me about any special guests I had planned (Roger, you free?).
Next up was Amy Plitt from Time Out New York who wanted to know the top five places in New York. This time I swapped in Katz Deli for the Meatball Shop. And the Top of the Rock observation deck for The Gutter. Also on my list: the Garment District at midday, Grand Central Station at 6 pm, and walking by the spectacular Apple Bank flagship branch anytime of the day.
Mark your Calendar: “We Love NYC: A Pop Culture Trivia Night Celebrating the World’s Greatest City” The Bell House; 143 7th St between Second and Third Aves, Gowanus, Brooklyn (718-643-6510, thebellhouseny.com). Wednesday, January 25 at 7:30pm; $25.
