Pat’s Papers SOS: Call to Action

Message to readers from Pat Kiernan:

I wish this was a cheery New Year’s greeting, but I’ll get straight to the bad news. As much as I love producing Pat’s Papers each day, the website is a money loser. We’ve been steadily building our audience, so I’ve been patiently subsidizing the staff and production costs. But the end of the cash is near. I really don’t want to shut the site down, but the traffic has to improve to generate enough ad revenue to make a dent in my costs.

So I’ve declared this “Pat’s Papers SOS” week. If you enjoy reading the site, we need your help. Every day this week I’ll offer a suggestion to help you show your support.

MONDAY’S CALL TO ACTION:

Very simple: Please tell five people about this site. Tell them they’ll be better informed if they sign up for our free morning e-mail. People are always telling me how frequently they use the news we deliver in their conversations at home and at work. Share your passion with somebody else! (To give you an incentive to do this, we’re giving away an iPad and we’ll enter your name in the draw.)
