Pat’s Mental Floss Trivia Contest
Written by Pat's Papers | Tuesday, 16 October 2012 6:58 AM
Mental Floss is one of my favorite websites. I mean seriously, where else can you be schooled in cockroach anatomy (Amazing Mental Floss Fact: The Cockroach can live up to two weeks without a head because its “brain” is spread throughout its body.); the history of NBC sitcoms (Amazing Fact: NBC executives originally wanted Paul Giamatti for the role of Michael Scott on The Office, but Giamatti wasn’t interested.); and intimate details about the lives of celebrities? (Amazing Fact: Donald Duck’s middle name is Fauntleroy.)
Which is why I’m so psyched that the good people at Mental Floss have decided to collaborate on a trivia throwdown to get people in the “spirit” for my upcoming Ultimate Halloween Pop Culture Night at The Bell House on October 29th.
Here’s how it will work: On October 25th I’ll appear in an online video on the Mental Floss website, with several questions for readers to answer. T-shirts, magazine subscriptions and tickets to the Halloween event are all up for grabs. But that’s not all. Every day this week (From October 15th to the 19th) our partner TrivWorks will also be giving away free tickets to the Halloween show to whomever submits the best horror movie trivia question. (See VIDEO below for details.) Lots of prizes to give away, lots of ways to win and in the meantime, lots of awesome trivia. (Parting Fact: There is a Librarian of Congress.)
One last thing: If you can’t wait, you can always buy tickets to The Ultimate Halloween Pop Culture Night here. Hope to see you there!
