Pat’s a Reason to Leave New York?

My name is in a somewhat disturbing headline: More Reasons to Leave New York: Pat Kiernan, Insomnia and the Pencil-In. But Howard Jordon Jr., Huffington Post blogger and author of “101 Reasons to Leave New York” doesn’t have it in for me—he actually has quite a few nice things to say.

His headline refers to a world where I did get the “Live! with Kelly” job and left my NY1 anchor seat for good. After paying me a paragraph of compliments, Jordan says he knows I’d be good at the Live! job, but that’s not the point. He believes it should be mandatory for me to continue in my NY1 gig: “Now isn’t the time for understanding and well wishes. [Pat] has a job to do. And that job is to make you feel good at the moments it serves you best in the forum you most desire to receive it.”
