Pat Tries Out ‘The Biebs’ And Falls Short

It looks like all Justin Bieber had to do to achieve his signature mop was find a strong wind source and stand under it. But looks can be deceiving. I can now tell you from personal experience that the pop star’s style is hard to replicate.

Yesterday on NY1 I joked that I’d have to try the Daily News’ step-by-step instructions on how to create the Justin Bieber hairdo. Since I was getting my hair cut anyway, I asked my guy David Groshen at Facestation to give it a try.

Basically, we failed miserably because my hair is too short. I’ve got to admit, I’m not terribly upset by the defeat. And I’m sure my kids aren’t either. My daughter Lucy was with me (she took the pictures) and she chuckled through the whole thing.

Here’s what we managed to accomplish:

Of course, we’d have been a lot more successful if I still had the haircut I had when I was four years old. I think the Bieber could have been easily achieved then.
