Farewell to Edmonton Colleague John Berry

A friend and colleague from my first days in television died this morning after a long battle with cancer. From my CFRN video archive, here’s a classic clip of John.

He loved the outdoors. He was a tireless promoter of community events. And there was no on-air costume that he’d shy away from.

Here’s a clip from October 1991, showing John along with anchors Daryl McIntyre and Daphne Kuehn.

John’s family announced his passing on his Facebook page this morning:

It is with sadness we announced that our beloved husband and father John Berry has gone to meet his Lord. Thank you for all your prayers.
