Calling Out Companies

Written by Pat's Papers | Wednesday, 2 December 2009 10:23 AM

Have you ever wondered why Aunt Jemima doesn’t have her own show on the Food Network? Or what happens to the .1 percent of germs that Lysol Disinfectant Spray doesn’t kill in 30 seconds? If you have, you’re not alone. The author of the funny blog writethecompany.com takes everything companies claim about their products literally and then sends out letters trying to get to the bottom of things. The responses are sometimes canned and sometimes clever.  It’s great stuff—I have to assume a book deal is coming.

One of my favorites is a quandary written to Campbell’s, regarding the exact definition of condensed soup.
